Every building sits on work you never saw. Someone had to put it in the ground first. Before the walls. Before the slab. Before the road.

It splits two ways. Wet utilities. Water, sewer and storm. Dry utilities. Power, gas and communications.
Different crews. Different leaders. Wet and dry are scoped apart from day one. The people differ.

The hard part is the live system. Shutdowns are sequenced around live utilities. The inspection regime is strict. And the owner is the public.
