Amundson Group
Wastewater Superintendent
A self-performing wastewater general contractor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is building its middle management team. They operate 9-10 active projects simultaneously across the DFW Metroplex and are hiring experienced Superintendents and Senior Superintendents to support growth and enable larger contracts. This is a permanent, local role for candidates ready to plant roots in Dallas.
What You Will Run
- Day-to-day field operations on wastewater construction projects across the DFW Metroplex, primarily within the greater metro loop and extending to McKinney and Rockwall
- Project leadership, scheduling, crew coordination, and quality control on self-performed wastewater work
- Work kept intentionally local – the company does not travel outside the DFW geography and assigns crews close to home
- For Senior Superintendents: mentoring and training other superintendents to build organizational depth
What It Takes
- Minimum 5 years as a true Superintendent (verifiable title and role, not assistant superintendent)
- The majority of your project experience, especially the last 5-6 years, must be in wastewater construction
- Background as a wastewater general contractor – not a subcontractor, engineering firm, or non-wastewater GC
- Experience from firms like Garney, MWH, Shea, Archer Western, McCarthy, Austin Industries, or Haskell is ideal
- Willingness to permanently relocate to DFW (relocation assistance provided)
- Not a fit: subcontractor backgrounds, engineering firms, commercial or building GC experience, or travel-based roles
Compensation and Benefits
- Superintendent (5+ years): $140,000 – $155,000 base
- Senior Superintendent: $155,000 – $185,000 base
- Top-tier Senior Superintendent: Up to $200,000 base (requires demonstrated ability to mentor other superintendents)
- Vehicle allowance: $950 per month
- Gas card provided
- Performance-based bonus: 15-20% of base salary
- Paid relocation for qualified candidates
The Market
This client has employees who have worked exclusively in the Dallas market for 15-25 years. They make a deliberate effort to keep field staff assigned to projects near where they live. If you are looking for stability, local work, and a contractor that invests in its people, this is a rare opportunity in the wastewater space.
