Survey Party Chief
A self-performing contractor is hiring a Survey Party Chief for a 2-year project based in Southwest New Mexico and Arizona. This is a hands-on leadership role running survey operations from the ground up, with real autonomy and the chance to build and lead a crew on a substantial, defined project.
What you will run
- Full survey party operations including setup, data collection, and field coordination
- Machine control and equipment management
- CAD drafting and documentation (experience a plus)
- Crew leadership and quality control in the field
- Day-to-day survey execution across Southwest New Mexico and Arizona, with initial base in Douglas, AZ
What it takes
- Proven experience as a Survey Party Chief or equivalent field survey leadership role
- Solid command of machine control systems and full-spectrum survey skills
- Ability to read plans, manage field data, and coordinate with project teams
- CAD drafting experience is a plus, not required
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in remote border-area locations
- Self-directed work ethic and comfort with field-based problem solving
Compensation and logistics
$70,000 to $90,000 per year. Daily lodging allowance of $75 provided. This is a 2-year project commitment with a defined scope and timeline.
