Amundson Group
A self-performing heavy civil contractor in the Phoenix area is hiring a Survey/CAD Technician to lead field surveying and CAD production on active construction projects. This is a hybrid role, roughly 70% field and 30% office, for someone who can work independently with survey equipment and translate field data into polished CAD drawings. If you have 5+ years of surveying and CAD experience in heavy civil construction, this is a direct conversation with the operations team.
What You Will Run
- Perform field surveying work independently with minimal supervision on active job sites
- Collect, process, and interpret survey data to support project needs
- Produce and review CAD drawings based on field-gathered information
- Move fluidly between field and office environments as project demands shift
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to support civil construction activities
What It Takes
- Minimum 5 years of surveying and CAD experience
- Strong background in heavy civil construction (required)
- Experience with water/wastewater treatment projects preferred
- Proficiency in Trimble survey equipment and software, or equivalent platforms
- Ability to work independently in the field with reliability and adaptability
- Proven track record of producing quality work under project timelines

Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus. Company truck, gas card, and comprehensive health insurance package included.
