Project Manager
A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring Project Managers to lead large-scale infrastructure projects across Arizona and beyond. This is a hands-on role for experienced construction professionals ready to own project delivery from planning through closeout, with a clear path to expand scope and responsibility based on performance.
What you will run
- Full project execution on heavy civil work: roadway, concrete, earthwork, paving, and infrastructure
- Project planning, scheduling, and day-to-day field coordination
- Budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting
- Subcontractor and client relationship management
- RFIs, submittals, quality control, and compliance
- Team leadership and problem-solving in fast-paced, field-driven environments
What it takes
- 5 to 8 years of heavy civil construction experience (earthwork, roadway, concrete, or infrastructure)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong DOT experience and familiarity with state transportation departments (ADOT preferred)
- Proven ability to manage large-scale or complex projects independently
- Ownership mentality, accountability, and hands-on problem-solving approach
- Willingness to travel and relocate for project assignments
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience and responsibility
- Per diem for project-based travel (approximately $120 per day for domestic assignments)
- Company-paid temporary housing (hotel or Airbnb) or flexible housing arrangements
- Relocation assistance available
Work environment
Projects are based in Arizona (Phoenix, Tucson, Lake Havasu) and across the U.S., including potential international assignments. This role requires on-site presence at active project locations. You will work with fast-growing teams that value immediate contribution, autonomy, and results-driven leadership.
About the opportunity
This is not a static position. High performers can expand their scope, take ownership of additional projects, and advance quickly within the organization. Leadership emphasizes accountability and hands-on problem-solving over micromanagement. If you are driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to own project delivery at scale, this role offers real growth potential.
