Amundson Group
A self-performing bridge contractor with a strong backlog and multiple projects launching this year is hiring a Bridge Superintendent to lead operations across Georgia. This is a hands-on leadership role managing active bridge construction from the Atlanta area through Macon and up to Chattanooga. You’ll own the day-to-day execution of complex bridge work and report directly to senior leadership.
What you will run
- Full superintendent responsibilities on active bridge projects, including scheduling, labor coordination, safety compliance, and quality control
- Direct supervision of crews and subcontractors on bridge construction work
- Budget tracking, change order management, and project documentation
- Daily communication with the project team, client, and home office
- Site safety leadership and OSHA compliance
What it takes
- 5+ years as a superintendent on bridge or heavy civil projects
- Proven experience managing self-performing bridge work (not just general contracting oversight)
- Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, sequencing, and safety protocols
- Ability to read plans, manage schedules, and track costs in real time
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Georgia region
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification preferred
- Professional communication skills with clients, crews, and management
Compensation and benefits
$105,000 per year. This is a direct-hire position with a contractor that invests in its leadership team.
The opportunity
This contractor has real work lined up. Six projects are starting this year across a solid geographic footprint, with a backlog that supports long-term stability. They’re looking for someone who can step in, own a project, and grow with the company. If you’ve run bridge work before and want to work for a self-performing outfit that actually builds things, this is worth a conversation.
