Houston construction project manager pay depends on several factors: years of experience, project size and complexity, sector (heavy civil, data center, rail, tunnels, wastewater, site development), and whether the role requires travel. A PM with five to eight years on mid-size heavy civil or site development work will command a different rate than a senior PM running a large data center or tunnel program. Licenses, certifications such as PMP, and software proficiency in tools like Procore or Primavera P6 also move compensation up. Most employers want a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, though a strong field background can substitute. Senior roles on complex infrastructure programs typically require ten or more years of proven project delivery.
