Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent
A self-performing construction contractor with deep roots in municipal infrastructure is hiring a Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent for the Raleigh, NC area. This is a hands-on leadership role running field crews on active WWTP and utility projects across the Southeast. If you have real wastewater treatment plant experience and a track record managing crews at the superintendent level, this is worth a conversation.
What You Will Run
- Direct field crews on wastewater treatment plant construction and municipal utility projects
- Self-perform work including pump stations, water infrastructure, pipelines, and treatment facilities
- Manage day-to-day operations, safety, scheduling, and quality on active job sites
- Work across the Southeast region, with primary focus on North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida
What It Takes
- Direct WWTP and wastewater treatment plant experience. This is non-negotiable. General civil infrastructure or heavy DOT background alone will not move forward.
- Proven superintendent-level track record. You have managed crews and run projects, not served as an assistant or project manager stepping up.
- Municipal market depth. You understand public-sector infrastructure work, permitting, and compliance, not just private commercial construction.
- Multi-company background. Experience across more than one solid contractor is preferred. You can speak to different leadership styles and project types.
- Local or regional availability. You are based in or willing to relocate to the Southeast, ideally with familiarity in the Raleigh, Wilmington, or Charlotte corridors.
- Reliability and follow-through. You show up, you commit, and you deliver.
Nice-to-Have
- NC DOT or FDOT compliance experience
- Bridge or structures background
- Bilingual capability (Spanish)
- History of internal growth and longevity at a solid contractor
