Project Manager
A self-performing contractor in Texas is hiring a Project Manager to own project financials, logistics, and cost forecasting. This is a full-time role that blends office work with regular field presence, ideal for someone with deep construction experience who wants real responsibility without the ego.
What You Will Run
- Collaborate with the Project Superintendent on site logistics planning and execution
- Manage the pay request process and approve material and equipment needs
- Monitor job costs and project labor to keep work on track
- Analyze and forecast total cost projections throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the estimating team during bid phases
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, vendors, and subcontractors
What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 8 years of construction project management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication with fast response times
- Ability to work both in the office and on active construction sites
- Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, and working in all weather conditions
- Track record of staying committed to roles and companies, not job hopping
Work Environment
Office work involves routine computer use and light lifting. Field work is physically demanding, with exposure to typical construction site conditions including machinery, noise, chemicals, and uneven surfaces. Full-time position with occasional overtime based on project needs.
Compensation
115,000 to 145,000 per year, based on experience.
