A self-performing contractor specializing in water and wastewater treatment infrastructure is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects from mobilization through closeout. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own the full scope of project delivery, from contract administration and permitting to team supervision and owner relations. What You Will Run
- Full administrative and technical management of water/wastewater treatment projects, acting as the single point of contact and decision maker for the project team
- Contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule oversight
- Permitting, insurance verification for subcontractors, and coordination of all project meetings
- Supervision and development of direct reports, including training and career growth opportunities
- Monthly job status reporting, project record management, and correspondence oversight
- Project closeout and relationship building with owners, engineers, and trade partners
- Proposal and presentation participation as needed
What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience. Graduate degree a plus.
- 5 to 9+ years of construction experience, with preference for general contractor background on water/wastewater treatment facilities
- Proven track record managing projects successfully from start to finish
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop relationships with owners and subcontractors
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Comfort working on active construction sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. This role is physically active and requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Adaptability to all weather conditions, moderate to loud noise, and elevated or confined work areas with moving equipment
- Willingness to work extended hours during critical project phases and respond to communications outside regular business hours when needed
- DBIA and LEED accreditation a plus
- Passion for the work and the industry is non-negotiable
Compensation and Culture
This role offers a salary range of $120,000 to $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
