Superintendent – Heavy Civil Construction
A self-performing heavy civil contractor in Central Florida is hiring a Superintendent to lead multiple site development and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on leadership role managing field teams, equipment, schedules, and safety on large-scale roadway and underground utility work. What You Will Run
- Daily construction activities and resource allocation across assigned projects
- Labor and equipment scheduling to maximize production and efficiency
- Project documentation, reporting, and schedule tracking with input on revisions
- Subcontractor and trade coordination and scheduling
- Site inspections alongside engineers, inspectors, clients, and officials
- Crew supervisors and foremen, providing direction and corrective action to drive performance
- Enforcement of company policies, procedures, and safety protocols in partnership with the Safety department
What It Takes
- 2+ years in a leadership role with a heavy civil contractor
- Strong grasp of construction best practices, equipment operation and maintenance, and OSHA guidelines
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate plans, drawings, and blueprints to crews
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills
- Physically capable of standing, bending, squatting, and lifting to 40 pounds regularly
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- English and Spanish fluency a plus, but not required
Compensation and Benefits
$90,000 to $120,000 per year, plus a robust benefits package including paid holidays, generous PTO, medical/dental/vision with employer contributions, 401K with employer match, and long-term incentives.
