Amundson Group
A self-performing contractor with a strong mechanical and industrial footprint is building out their Dallas-Fort Worth estimating team. They just opened a new office in the market and are looking for 2-3 Senior Estimators to support growth. This is a real backfill and expansion play, not a speculative hire.
What you will run
You will own the estimating function for mechanical, water/wastewater treatment, and industrial projects. Your scope includes takeoffs, pricing, bid strategy, and client communication on complex, self-performed work. You will work alongside the Chief Estimator and leadership team on projects ranging from design-build to hard bid. Some travel for client meetings and site visits, but nothing excessive.
What it takes
- 8-10+ years as a Senior Estimator, ideally with mechanical or water/wastewater treatment plant background
- Industrial or MEP/process experience is a strong plus
- Texas market experience (DFW or Central TX) is preferred but not required if you have the depth
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with operations and sales teams
- Comfort with estimating software and spreadsheet-based workflows
Work arrangement
Based in the DFW area or Central Texas. Fully remote is acceptable for the right candidate. Hybrid (2-3 days in office, 2-3 days remote) is also an option. Out-of-state candidates with 8-10+ years of experience will be considered if they can transition to the Texas market.
Comp and benefits
Base salary range: $130,000 to $150,000. For an exceptional candidate with deep mechanical or treatment plant expertise, the range can stretch to approximately $160,000.
