A self-performing contractor is hiring a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale water and wastewater construction projects in South Carolina. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own schedule, cost, safety, and quality across complex, federally-funded work. What You Will Run
You will oversee all field operations on your assigned project scope, managing both self-performed work and subcontractors to keep everything aligned with contract documents and the schedule. You’ll develop and execute the work sequence plan, maintain the project schedule monthly, and control costs across all field activities. You’ll conduct regular safety inspections, implement quality control policies, and take corrective action when standards slip. You’ll also mentor Assistant Superintendents and Project Engineers, participate in scope conflict resolution, and help close out punch lists on time.
What It Takes
- 8 to 10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience with a large commercial contractor or equivalent
- Proven track record building federal or government projects from start to finish
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Deep knowledge of construction scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and labor management
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations and manage multiple trades
- Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable regulations
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, and accountable. You build relationships, develop people, and execute with integrity.
Compensation and Benefits
$130,000 to $175,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
