Project Scheduler
A self-performing contractor in the Houston area is hiring a Project Scheduler to own planning and execution across active construction projects. This is a hands-on role where your scheduling decisions directly impact project profitability, safety, and client satisfaction. What you will run
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to align timelines and resource allocation
- Track progress against baseline schedules and identify risks or delays early
- Prepare schedule reports and forecasts for internal and client stakeholders
- Manage schedule changes and updates as field conditions evolve
- Support bid and estimating teams with scheduling input on new opportunities
What it takes
- 3+ years of project scheduling experience in heavy civil, commercial, or industrial construction
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent planning software
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and critical path logic
- Ability to communicate complex schedules clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit job sites as needed
Compensation and benefits
This position offers a competitive salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
