Our client, a self-performing contractor, is hiring a Project Manager to lead earthwork and utility projects across Texas. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own project delivery from bid through closeout, working directly with crews and stakeholders on active job sites.
What you will run
- Earthwork operations as the core focus, with utilities work as a secondary skill set
- Project estimation using industry-standard software including Bid2Win, AGTEK, and on-screen takeoff tools
- Budget management, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination with field teams
- Storm drain, dirt work, and utility scope management
- Microsoft Office for reporting, documentation, and client communication
What it takes
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in heavy civil or earthwork construction
- Proficiency with Bid2Win, AGTEK, or similar takeoff and estimating platforms
- Strong grasp of earthwork and utility project economics
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with crews, clients, and leadership
- Willingness to be on site and engaged with the work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Compensation and benefits
$80,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience and skill level. Pay is negotiable depending on your background in utilities, storm drain, and dirt work operations.
