Project Manager – Large Diameter Pipe Installation
A self-performing contractor in the DFW area is hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple large diameter pipe projects totaling up to $50M. This is a hands-on leadership role managing crews, coordinating with superintendents, and driving projects from office and field. If you have 10+ years in construction with deep experience in large diameter pipe (36″ to 120″), this is a real opportunity with a company known for ethical operations and promoting from within.
What You Will Run
- Manage 3 shared resource project coordinators and work directly with superintendents on multiple concurrent projects
- Oversee large diameter pipe installation projects including steel, fiberglass, bar wrap, transmission mains, sewer, and storm applications
- Handle projects within a 60 mile radius of DFW, based out of Mansfield, TX
- Split time between office and weekly field site visits
- Work 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday
What It Takes
- 10+ years construction experience with at least 5 years as a Project Manager
- 1000+ feet of large diameter pipe project experience (36″ to 120″)
- Background in both design and engineering side of pipe installation
- EIT certification or degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, HCSS, Excel, and scheduling software
- Strong crew management, leadership, and communication skills
- Minimum 3 years tenure at previous roles, with solid references
- Honest, hardworking, and accountable mindset
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 to $145,000
- Paid weekly
- Performance based bonus: $5,000 to $50,000 annually, paid end of year
- Vehicle allowance: $1,000 per month plus fuel card
