Project Manager – Large Diameter Pipe Construction
A self-performing contractor in the DFW area is hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple large diameter pipe projects totaling up to $50M. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with deep expertise in steel, fiberglass, and transmission main installation, and the track record to prove it.
What You Will Run
- Manage 3 project coordinators and work directly with superintendents on 1000+ feet large diameter pipe projects (36″ to 120″ diameter)
- Oversee projects within a 60-mile radius of DFW, based out of Mansfield, TX
- Split your time between the office and weekly site visits, 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday
- Handle scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across sewer, storm, and transmission main work
- Use Bluebeam, HCSS, scheduling software, and Excel to track progress and manage documentation
What It Takes
- 10+ years in construction with at least 5 years as a Project Manager
- Hands-on experience on both the design and engineering side of large diameter pipe installation
- EIT background or degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
- Proven experience managing 1000+ feet projects with steel, fiberglass, bar wrap, or transmission mains
- Strong crew management, leadership, and communication skills
- 3+ years tenure at previous roles, honest, hardworking, and willing to provide references
Compensation and Benefits
- $100,000 to $145,000 per year, paid weekly
- Performance-based bonus of $5,000 to $50,000 annually, paid end of year
- 401k with 3% match
- PTO: 2 weeks (0-3 years), 3 weeks (3-6 years), 4 weeks (10+ years), all flexible
- Vehicle allowance of $1,000 per month plus fuel card
