About This Opportunity
A self-performing heavy civil and utilities contractor is scaling fast. They’ve just landed multiple large-scale projects across the Southeast, including a $50M+ utility and infrastructure project in South Carolina tied to advanced manufacturing. They need an experienced Project Manager to step in now, get trained on their systems, and lead execution through 2027 and beyond.
What You Will Run
You’ll manage the overall execution of complex projects, starting with a 12-18 month utility and heavy civil job in Blythewood, SC. This is sophisticated work: data center and industrial infrastructure with challenging soil conditions, tight coordination with owners and engineers, and likely full-time onsite presence.
- Project planning, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination
- Financial tracking, cost control, and monthly reporting
- Production tracking and logistics across multiple crews
- Schedule maintenance and problem-solving with field leadership
- Owner, engineer, and general contractor communication
- Removing operational roadblocks so field teams execute cleanly
- Potential travel to additional job sites once the primary project winds down
You’ll work alongside an Assistant Project Manager and multiple utility and grading crews, reporting to senior leadership and collaborating closely with Project and General Superintendents.
What It Takes
- Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience
- Proven background in heavy civil, utilities, heavy industrial, or manufacturing construction
- Comfort managing complex, high-dollar projects ($50M+ preferred)
- Tech-savvy: proficient with project management software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work in a collaborative, hands-on leadership environment
