Project Manager

The Role

A self-performing contractor specializing in multifamily siteworks is hiring a Project Manager to oversee $8-25M projects across Florida. You’ll manage up to five concurrent jobs in different phases, split your time between the Brandon office and job sites, and own the full scope: scheduling, client coordination, subcontractor buyouts, and budget management. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on detail and pace.

What You Will Run

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, visiting at least one site per week
• Lead weekly job site meetings with owner representatives and manage client relationships
• Update and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Fastrack, coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors
• Process subcontractor buyouts, purchase orders, and billing applications using Spectrum accounting software
• Attend biweekly project management team buyout meetings and monthly coordination meetings to solve problems, manage budgets, and communicate resolutions
• Manage change orders, municipal and county specifications, and production follow-up
• Work with the office team on contract writing, insurance coordination, and invoice approvals

What It Takes

• 7 years of experience in siteworks for multifamily construction
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a faster pace
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and scheduling software (MS Project or Fastrack preferred)
• Experience with construction accounting and project management systems
• Ability to interface professionally with clients, subs, and internal teams
• Willingness to learn new systems; training and mentorship provided in-house
• No background in road or bridge construction
• Degree preferred but not required

The Work Environment

Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No weekends. You’ll be based in the Brandon office and commute to job sites in Hillsborough, Polk, Pasco, Manatee, and Sarasota counties, with drive times kept to one hour or less. The company has been growing steadily, with no layoffs even during recessions, and works with the same core clients for over 25 years.

Compensation and Benefits

• $89,000 to $110,000 per year, negotiable with experience
• Annual bonus: 5% of salary, tiered by seniority (Year 1 starts at $1,000, increases to $5,000 by Year 5), paid out in June
• Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, fuel card, and SunPass provided
• Health insurance: company pays 50% of employee premium after 90 days
• Paid holidays after 90 days; 2 weeks PTO after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years
• 401k with 6% match
