A self-performing contractor is staffing a major, multi-year heavy civil program in rural Arizona. This is a field-based Project Engineer role supporting 30+ bundled infrastructure projects totaling $500M+, including bridges, roadway, vertical construction, and water infrastructure. What You Will Run
You will support day-to-day field operations across multiple concurrent projects in a collaborative CMGC (Construction Manager/General Contractor) delivery model. Your work includes project coordination, scheduling, documentation, cost tracking, and risk management in a GMP environment. You will interface directly with tribal and federal owner representatives, coordinate subcontractors and materials logistics, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance across all activities.
The program scope is diverse: bridge construction including railroad work, roadway projects around $6M each, vertical construction like a $28M administration building, and water infrastructure with a $300M+ waterline project in the pipeline. You will use Viewpoint, Bluebeam, and standard construction management software to keep things moving.
What It Takes
- 2 to 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in the field (5 years preferred)
- Exposure to multiple scopes: roadway, structures, utilities, and similar work
- Strong understanding of construction processes and jobsite operations
- Ability to operate independently and thrive in remote, rural environments
- Self-starter with solid problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and general construction software
Bridge construction experience is a strong plus. Background with smaller or mid-sized contractors is preferred. Familiarity with CMGC delivery or public/tribal/federal projects is valuable but not required.
Location and Logistics
Based in Peach Springs, Arizona, with housing support available in Kingman, AZ. This is a field-intensive role in a remote setting. You need to be comfortable working independently and managing multiple project scopes across a distributed program.
