Project Engineer – Marble Falls, North Austin
A self-performing contractor is hiring a Project Engineer to manage construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. This is a full-time role split between office and field work, offering real responsibility, hands-on problem solving, and the chance to grow with a stable, established firm. Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
What You Will Run
- Manage contracts and subcontracts
- Oversee project schedules, procurement, and expediting
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and piping systems
- Track and report project costs and subcontractor payments
- Supervise field installations and coordinate subcontractors
- Handle change proposals and pricing negotiations
- Advise on construction methods and equipment
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Participate in project meetings and assigned duties
What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (required)
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Field experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with quick response capability
The Work Environment
Office work includes routine desk tasks and computer use, lifting up to 10 lbs. Field work is physically demanding: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and exposure to outdoor weather and construction site hazards including chemicals, noise, and uneven terrain. Full-time with occasional overtime as needed.
