A self-performing contractor in the Greensboro area is hiring a Pipe Foreman to lead a crew on active piping and site projects. This is a full-time role where you’ll own the schedule, safety, quality, and people. If you’ve got 3-5 years of piping experience and can run a crew with confidence, this is worth a conversation.
What You Will Run
- Direct supervision of a piping crew, including training, safety enforcement, and daily performance
- Project scheduling, layout, and on-time completion to spec
- Heavy equipment operation and site grading work alongside your crew
- Safety compliance: OSHA, EPA, NCDOT guidelines, and client-specific requirements
- Crew timesheets, paperwork, equipment inspections, and maintenance requests
- Jobsite housekeeping, material management, and stakeholder relations with engineers, inspectors, and customers
What It Takes
- 3 to 5 years of piping installation and construction experience
- Hands-on experience operating front end loaders, dozers, excavators, and similar equipment
- Grading and seeding experience
- Current North Carolina Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read plans, stakes, and technical drawings
- Strong communication skills with crew, customers, and site personnel
- Physical capability: standing, bending, lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing in and out of excavations, working in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 hour
- Trenching safety and confined space certification
- First Aid/CPR training
