Pipe Foreman
A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring a Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility installation on major infrastructure projects across the Southeast. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage pipe crews, coordinate daily operations, and own quality and safety on the jobsite. If you have 5+ years in underground utilities or heavy civil work and want to step into a foreman role with a stable, established contractor, this is worth your time.
What You Will Run
- Lead and supervise pipe crews installing storm, sanitary, and water systems on heavy civil projects.
- Coordinate daily work plans, manpower, equipment, and materials to meet schedule and production targets.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grades. Assist with layout and line/elevation verification.
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and procedures. Identify and resolve field issues that impact productivity or quality.
- Maintain accurate daily field reporting and work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers.
- Work on DOT, municipal, and large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, utilities, and rail.
What It Takes
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction.
- Foreman-level experience preferred. Strong technical knowledge of pipe installation methods.
- Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate daily work activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for underground construction.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with established heavy civil contractors and DOT or municipal projects is highly valued.
Compensation
80,000 to 90,000 per year, based on experience and background.
