A self-performing contractor in Florida is hiring a Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility installation on active construction sites. This is hands-on leadership work in the field, managing crew operations and ensuring safe, efficient execution of water, storm, and sanitary sewer line projects.
What you will run
- Lead and coordinate pipe crew operations on active job sites
- Lay water lines, storm water lines, sanitary sewer, and other underground utilities
- Dig ditches and trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications
- Read and follow blueprints, plans, and supervisor instructions to lay out work
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Prepare and maintain safe construction sites, eliminating hazards
- Own safety in all aspects of daily operations
What it takes
- Minimum 1 year of foreman or crew leadership experience in pipe or underground utility work
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. regularly and work extended periods in strenuous physical conditions
- Comfortable standing, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing, kneeling, bending, and working in varying weather
- Strong grasp of blueprints, plans, and job layout
- Reliable transportation to job sites and consistent punctuality
- Effective communication, organization, and planning skills
- Drive for results, dependability, and ability to work cooperatively with crews
Compensation
$78,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience and performance.
