Junior Estimator, Phoenix, AZ
A self-performing contractor in the Arizona market is hiring a Junior Estimator ready to own estimates from day one. This is a real estimating role, not a takeoff desk. You’ll build pricing expertise in dirt and pipe work while working alongside experienced estimators who will mentor you as you grow.
What You Will Run
- Complete full estimates independently, with oversight from senior estimating staff
- Perform quantity takeoffs using HCSS and Bluebeam on your own
- Focus on dirt and pipe work; structures experience is a bonus
- Develop working knowledge of unit costs and Arizona market pricing
- Build relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers over time
What It Takes
- Arizona-based and familiar with or willing to learn the local construction market
- Capable of completing a full estimate with oversight, not just takeoffs
- Proficiency or strong working knowledge in HCSS and Bluebeam
- Background in dirt and pipe work preferred; structures is secondary
- Detail-oriented, coachable, and motivated to grow within a scaling division
Comp and Benefits
Approximately $150K annually.
This is a growth role. You’ll work with a contractor that invests in developing estimators who can eventually move into senior or lead roles. If you’re early in your estimating career but ready to own your work, this is the right fit.
