Fine Grade Foreman
A self-performing contractor in North Carolina is actively hiring a Fine Grade Foreman to lead a growing motor grader operation. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role with clear potential to advance into a supervisory position. What You Will Run
- Lead a crew of 4 operators running motor graders on residential and commercial projects
- Oversee fine grading, GPS staking, curb and gutter work, and site preparation
- Train operators on equipment, procedures, and GPS technology (Topcon systems)
- Work from blueprints and GPS inventory to execute grade specifications
- Partner with the General Superintendent and Grade Supervisor on process and quality
What It Takes
- Proven experience running a motor grader and managing fine grade crews
- Ability to read blueprints and work with GPS-based staking systems
- Leadership mindset: you can train operators and hold a crew accountable
- Full-time availability and willingness to be hands-on in the field
- Reliability. The company has had turnover in this role and needs someone who will stay and grow
Compensation and Opportunity
$85,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience. This role has a clear path to General Superintendent or higher if you perform and want to move into full supervision.
