Our client, a self-performing contractor in the DFW market, is hiring an experienced Estimator to lead preconstruction and bidding on major projects. This is a full-time, in-office role with real autonomy over estimates ranging from $50M to $150M. If you’ve got 5-10 years of estimating chops and want to work for a stable, growing firm, read on.
What you will run
- Estimate and bid large-scale construction projects in the $50M-$150M range
- Provide preconstruction support and field knowledge to project teams
- Own the estimating process from takeoff through final bid delivery
- Work with industry-standard software: Heavy Bid, B2W, Agtek, and N8
- Collaborate with operations and project management on alternate delivery methods
What it takes
- 5-10 years of estimating experience in heavy construction or general contracting
- Proficiency in Heavy Bid, B2W, Agtek, and N8 (or equivalent estimating platforms)
- Field experience and preconstruction knowledge
- Familiarity with DOT work a plus
- Experience with alternate delivery methods preferred
- Ability to work 100% in office in the DFW area
- Track record of accuracy and attention to detail on complex bids
Comp and benefits
Salary range: $150,000-$180,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity up to 10%.
