Estimator

The Role

A self-performing contractor in Jacksonville is hiring an Estimator to own the full takeoff and pricing process on underground utilities, site development, and roadwork projects. This is a true estimator position, not a support role. You will receive projects, quantify them completely, develop pricing proposals (lump sum or unit price), and prepare all bid documentation as if it were a hard bid. You will work in the office, not remotely, and report directly to leadership.

What You Will Run

• Complete project takeoffs and quantity calculations using industry-standard software
• Develop and price proposals independently, from scope review through final bid package
• Prepare all bid documents and supporting materials
• Work across multiple projects in the Jacksonville area
• Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure accurate, competitive estimates

What It Takes

• 2 to 5 years of estimating experience in underground utilities, site development, or roadwork
• Civil Engineering degree required
• Proficiency in HCSS, Bid2Win, Bluebeam, Agtek, and Revit
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and documentation standards
• Willingness to learn and grow in a stable, established company

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: 80,000 to 120,000 per year, depending on experience

The Details

Standard office hours, 40 to 50 hours per week. No travel required. No remote work. Based in Jacksonville. Relocation considered on a case-by-case basis. Start date: as soon as possible.
