Our client, a self-performing construction contractor, is hiring an Estimator to join their growing team in Texas. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to ownership, with clear advancement into leadership within the first three years. What you will run
You’ll estimate projects across the full spectrum of commercial construction: retail buildouts like car washes and auto parts stores, gas stations, multi-family subdivisions, and everything in between. Project sizes range from small to $7 million. Beyond the numbers, you’ll own the hunt for new work, qualify subcontractors, and follow up to close deals. This is estimating with a business development edge.
What it takes
- Proven estimating experience in commercial construction (retail, gas, residential, or mixed).
- A proactive mindset. You find jobs. You source subs. You follow through.
- Ability to work independently and report to the owner with confidence.
- Comfort with a reasonable, non-crisis work environment.
- Willingness to grow into oversight of other estimators and business development within 12 months, and broader pre-construction leadership by year three.
Comp and benefits
$100,000 to $120,000 annually, plus approximately 2% commission structure. Vehicle allowance is available.
