The Role
A self-performing asphalt contractor in the greater Houston area is looking for an experienced Asphalt Foreman to manage commercial and industrial paving projects. You will oversee a crew of 3, handle equipment and daily operations, and work on high-profile plant facilities and railroad projects across the region. This is a field leadership position with real autonomy and growth potential as the company expands.
What You Will Run
- Manage and supervise asphalt paving crews on active jobsites
- Oversee site preparation, measuring, layout, and contract specification compliance
- Operate and coordinate milling machines, pavers, and roller equipment
- Order daily asphalt tonnage from local plants and manage material logistics
- Conduct daily safety meetings and train crew on equipment and procedures
- Complete daily foreman reports and maintain close communication with Operations and Project Managers
- Handle dirt and base work, seal coating, line striping, and car stop installation
- Travel to jobsites throughout greater Houston, Galveston, Huntsville, and Beaumont areas
What It Takes
- 10+ years of total asphalt paving experience
- 5+ years as an Asphalt Foreman, or minimum 3 years as Foreman, Junior Foreman, or Crew Lead
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and dependable transportation
- Ability to obtain TWIC certification
- High skill with all asphalt paving equipment and dirt/base work
- Strong leadership, communication, and crew management skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Stable work history and commitment to staying with a growing company
Compensation and Benefits
- 72,800 per year (35/hour)
- Company truck provided
- Performance-based Christmas bonus (3K to 5K)
