Superintendent pay moves with project size and complexity, sector (highway, bridge, utility, wastewater), years running crews, whether you self-perform dirt, pipe or asphalt, and how much travel the role requires. A company truck with a gas card, or a truck allowance, is standard in most heavy civil and site development superintendent packages, and many candidates treat it as a condition of moving. Foreman roles in utilities often come with a take-home truck as well. Bonus structure can add meaningfully to total compensation.
