Site Work Estimator
A self-performing heavy civil contractor in North Carolina is hiring a Site Work Estimator to join their Apex office. If you know dirt, understand self-perform operations, and want to estimate projects from the ground up, this is your role. We’re looking for someone with junior-to-mid level experience who can think like a builder, not just a calculator.
What You Will Run
- Estimate site work scope for wastewater infrastructure and heavy civil projects across the Southeast
- Develop accurate takeoffs and cost models for earthwork, grading, and site preparation
- Collaborate with project teams to refine estimates and support bid strategy
- Work from the Apex, NC office with occasional site visits
What It Takes
- Real experience in self-performing general contracting, not just consulting or design
- Solid grasp of site work, dirt operations, and equipment productivity
- Junior-to-mid level estimating background, ideally in heavy civil or infrastructure
- Track record of stability in your roles, not job-hopping
- Honest, accountable approach to mistakes and quality
- Willingness to relocate to North Carolina (relocation assistance provided)
