Project Manager – ADOT Civil/Transportation
A self-performing contractor is hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee two active ADOT projects in Arizona. This is a time-driven hire for someone ready to hit the ground running and manage concurrent projects totaling approximately $30M in combined contract value.
What You Will Run
- Day-to-day operations of two concurrent ADOT projects: a roadway widening project with approximately 8-9 months remaining and a bridge project with approximately 14 months remaining, located east of Tucson
- Project schedules, budgets, documentation, and compliance across both job sites
- One shared Project Engineer supporting both projects
- Field office operations and job site coordination
- Client relationships in accordance with ADOT standards and expectations
- Project execution from active construction through closeout
You will work out of field office trailers at each project location and travel throughout Arizona to support ADOT work as needed.
What It Takes
- Proven experience working on ADOT projects (required)
- Strong understanding of DOT processes, documentation, and compliance standards
- Ability and willingness to travel across Arizona by vehicle to various job sites
- Proven ability to manage projects independently with minimal oversight
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bridge construction experience (preferred)
- Experience with roadway widening projects (preferred)
- Proficiency in HCSS, Primavera P6, or Viewpoint (preferred)
- Based in Phoenix or Tucson, AZ (preferred)
You do not need heavy/freight rail experience, mega-project experience, or specific railroad or transit client background.
Compensation and Location
$100,000 to $150,000 per year. Phoenix or Tucson, AZ, with travel required across Arizona.
