Assistant Project Manager
A self-performing heavy civil contractor is ramping up Phase 3 new construction on a major FDOT I-4 corridor project in the Celebration area. This is a long-term opportunity to join an established management team with significant phases ahead and real growth potential.
What You Will Run
- Support project managers overseeing FDOT roadway and heavy civil scopes from preconstruction through closeout
- Assist with cost tracking, quantities, RFIs, submittals, and schedule management
- Coordinate with FDOT inspectors, consultants, owners, and internal field teams
- Ensure compliance with FDOT standards and maintain accurate project documentation
- Support field operations and work closely with superintendents on execution
What It Takes
- FDOT experience is mandatory. Heavy civil or roadway construction background required.
- Proven experience supporting or leading DOT projects
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and interface professionally with agency personnel
- Local to the Tampa/Central Florida area. No relocation.
