Our client, a self-performing contractor in the DFW market, is hiring an experienced Estimator to lead preconstruction and bidding on major projects. This is a full-time, in-office role with real scope: you’ll own estimates on projects ranging from $50M to $150M, work directly with field teams, and shape how the company prices and wins work.
What you will run
- Develop detailed estimates and bid packages for large, complex projects
- Partner with preconstruction and field leadership on constructability and cost strategy
- Manage estimating software and databases to maintain accuracy and speed
- Support alternate delivery methods and value engineering discussions
- Own the bid process from RFQ through submission
What it takes
- 5 to 10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil or construction
- Proven field knowledge and preconstruction support background
- Proficiency in Heavy Bid, B2W, Agtek, and N8 (or equivalent estimating platforms)
- Experience with alternate delivery methods is a plus
- Track record of good tenure and reliability
- Ability to work 100% in office in the DFW area
- Open to relocation candidates
Comp and benefits
Salary range $150K to $180K, plus bonus opportunity up to 10%.
