What You Will Run
- Gather, calculate, and compile data for conceptual and bid proposal estimates.
- Perform quantity take-offs directly from construction plans.
- Analyze and price subcontractor bids and prepare bid packages for submission.
- Maintain current, accurate supplier and contractor pricing through direct contact and written research.
- Prepare construction drawings, handle drawing reproduction, and create form drawings as needed.
- Expedite material delivery coordination to job sites.
- Assist in pricing updates and cost history documentation for future estimates.
What It Takes
- High school diploma minimum; Associates degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of construction estimating experience.
- Strong math and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans accurately.
- Comfortable working both in the office and on job sites for inspections and field reviews.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Acceptable corrected vision and hearing required.
Compensation and Benefits
$75,000 to $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
