A self-performing contractor in Arizona is hiring a Scheduler to own project timelines and drive on-time delivery across their portfolio. This is a hands-on role that bridges planning and execution, working directly with project teams to keep complex schedules on track and flag risks before they become problems.
What you will run
- Develop and maintain construction schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software
- Build baseline schedules with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Critical Path Method (CPM) logic
- Update schedules weekly based on progress reports, site data, and input from project managers and superintendents
- Track milestones, deliverables, and critical paths; identify delays and resource conflicts early
- Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, and visual timelines for stakeholders and leadership
- Analyze the impact of scope changes, weather delays, and supply chain issues on project timelines
- Support resource and manpower planning activities
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to gather updates and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Maintain documentation of schedule changes, revisions, and schedule narratives
- Participate in project meetings to present schedule status and risk forecasts
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 0 to 3 years of construction scheduling, project coordination, or planning experience
- Solid knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling software
- Strong grasp of construction processes, project lifecycle, and critical path logic
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving instincts
- Clear communication and collaboration skills; comfortable presenting to leadership
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
The work environment
You will work out of a regional office and travel to project sites approximately 50 percent of the time. Expect a mix of desk work (extensive computer time with P6 and Excel) and field time (standing, walking, climbing, and exposure to construction site conditions and noise). Occasional lifting of 5 to 20 pounds required.
