Amundson Group
The Role
A self-performing construction contractor is looking for a Recruiting and Marketing Specialist to drive talent acquisition and brand visibility across their multi-state operation. This is a high-impact hybrid role where you will own both recruiting strategy and marketing execution, reporting directly to leadership. If you thrive on relationship building, can manage competing priorities, and want to shape how a growing construction company attracts talent and tells its story, this is your opportunity.
What You Will Run
Recruiting (Full Cycle)
- Serve as the primary recruiting contact across all divisions and locations. You will develop and execute centralized recruiting strategies that support hiring needs for seasonal workers, skilled trades, administrative staff, and management positions.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, trade schools, workforce centers, and industry contacts. Build and maintain pipelines and relationships with candidates, educational institutions, and workforce development partners.
- Manage the complete hiring workflow: job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, offer coordination, communication, and onboarding support.
- Coordinate and represent the company at career fairs, recruiting events, school visits, and community outreach activities. Develop materials and presentations that promote career opportunities.
- Track recruiting metrics, maintain candidate records, and provide regular reporting on hiring activity, sourcing trends, and process improvements.
Marketing
- Create engaging content for social media, website, blog, and email newsletters that highlight projects, employees, and services.
- Capture and produce high-quality photos and videos of ongoing projects to showcase the company’s work.
- Design visual materials for print including brochures, flyers, project signage, and promotional materials.
What It Takes
You are an outgoing, proactive self-starter who excels at networking, relationship building, public speaking, and motivating others. You work independently, demonstrate initiative, and are willing to support team members across the organization. You have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in recruiting, marketing, or both is expected. Familiarity with construction, paving, or heavy civil work is a plus but not required. You must be comfortable with social media platforms, basic design tools, and applicant tracking systems.
