The Role
A self-performing civil contractor in the Houston area is looking for a mid to senior level Estimator who can own the entire bid cycle from start to finish. This is a fully independent role where you will manage heavy civil projects across utilities, grading, and site work. You will work remotely to start, but must be local to Houston.
What You Will Run
- Complete bid management for residential and commercial heavy civil projects
- Takeoffs and estimates using Heavy Bid and Agtek software
- Project scoping, pricing, and proposal delivery
- All phases of the estimating cycle with minimal oversight
What It Takes
- 5+ years estimating experience on residential or commercial heavy civil work
- Proven track record with utilities and grading projects
- Proficiency in Heavy Bid and Agtek
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
- Local to Houston, TX
You need to be plug and play. This client does not have bandwidth to train or hand-hold. If you have run bids solo before and know how to move fast without constant direction, this is your fit.
