A self-performing contractor is hiring a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial projects in Georgia. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive project delivery, manage teams and trade partners, and set the standard for safety and quality across the jobsite. What You Will Run
- Oversee installation of self-performed and contracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents, schedules, and all safety and quality standards
- Create and manage work sequencing, jobsite logistics, material tracking, and personnel deployment to keep projects on time and on budget
- Develop, update, and communicate project schedules with all stakeholders. Lead multi-disciplinary meetings to align contractors and owners on critical milestones
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement a culture of safety and quality among employees and trade contractors
- Manage, mentor, and develop your field team to build a high-functioning operation
- Maintain working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements. Participate in cost tracking and KPI management
- Solve complex problems on the fly. Identify long-term risks and advance the project plan to neutralize conflicts and obstacles
- Lead close-out activities including punch list and building operations training
- Cultivate strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
- Actively recruit and develop top talent to join the team
What It Takes
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years on large-scale commercial construction projects
- 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams
- Proven success building high-rise residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects from start to finish
- Deep knowledge of construction scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel management
- Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating effectively across multiple audiences
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA and applicable safety and building regulations
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, accountable, and resilient. You build relationships and teams. You execute.
- Comfort with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, P6 preferred)
The Role in Practice
You will spend significant time on active construction sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. This is a physically demanding role requiring frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching. You will lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You will also spend time in the office on computer work, document review, and meetings. You must be comfortable in all weather, moderate to loud noise, and the fast-paced environment of a project in progress. Your safety and the safety of your team is non-negotiable.
Compensation and Benefits
135,000 to 160,000 per year.
