The Role
A self-performing contractor with active municipal utility work across the Southeast is hiring a Superintendent to run wastewater treatment plant construction in the Raleigh area. You will own the field, manage crews directly, and deliver complex WWTP and water infrastructure projects from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with real depth in municipal utilities.
What You Will Run
- Wastewater treatment plant construction and upgrades
- Water infrastructure, pump stations, and pipeline work
- Direct field crew supervision and daily operations
- Municipal utility projects in NC, SC, VA, GA, and FL
- Self-perform work alongside your team
What It Takes
- Direct WWTP or wastewater treatment plant experience. This is non-negotiable. General civil infrastructure or heavy DOT background alone will not work.
- Proven superintendent-level track record. You have run field crews and delivered projects at this level before.
- Municipal market depth. You understand public-sector infrastructure, not private or commercial work.
- Multi-company background. You have worked for more than one solid contractor and can speak to your growth and experience across different teams.
- Willingness to work in the Southeast region or already local to NC, SC, VA, GA, or FL.
Nice-to-Have
- NC DOT or FDOT compliance experience
- Familiarity with the Raleigh, Wilmington, or Charlotte markets
- Bilingual capability (Spanish)
- History of internal growth and long tenure at a solid contractor
