A self-performing contractor is staffing a 2-year infrastructure project in Southwest Arizona and needs an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead field operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows survey work inside and out and can manage a crew in a remote, fast-paced environment.
What you will run
You will oversee all survey operations for a major project based initially in Southwest New Mexico with work extending into Arizona. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing survey crews in the field
- Performing full-spectrum survey work including machine control operations
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications
- Managing daily crew logistics and safety protocols
- CAD drafting and documentation (a plus if you have this skill)
What it takes
You need solid experience as a party chief with proven expertise in machine control and comprehensive survey skills. You should be comfortable working in remote locations, managing a crew, and taking ownership of field operations. A background in CAD drafting is valuable but not required. This role demands someone reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to work on a multi-year project.
Comp and benefits
$70,000 to $90,000 per year, plus $75 per day lodging allowance.
The location
Douglas, Arizona area, near the border. This is a 2-year commitment with work based initially in Southwest New Mexico extending into Arizona. You will need to be prepared for remote project work.
