Superintendent – Savannah

A self-performing contractor is hiring an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on a major marine bridge construction project in Savannah, Georgia. This is hands-on field leadership overseeing bridge crews and coordinating specialty subcontractors on an active, challenging project with approximately 11-12 months of work remaining. If you have strong heavy civil bridge experience and can step into a complex operation independently, we want to talk.

What You Will Run

• Field operations and self-perform bridge crews on a major project over the Wilmington River
• Coordination with a limited number of specialty subcontractors, including divers and welders
• Day-to-day site leadership, safety, scheduling, and quality control
• Close collaboration with project management and client representatives
• Work performed substantially from barges, requiring coordination of marine operations

What It Takes

• Strong Superintendent experience in heavy civil and bridge construction
• Proven ability to manage field crews and complex field operations
• DOT project experience strongly preferred
• Ability to operate independently and step into an active project without significant ramp-up
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-oriented approach
• Marine or barge experience is a strong plus, particularly relevant to this project
• Bridge experience preferred; post-tensioning familiarity is a bonus

About the Project

Major bridge construction project on the Islands Expressway connecting Savannah toward Tybee Island. Work is performed substantially from barges with primarily self-performing bridge crews and a minimal roadway component. Approximately 11-12 months of work remain.

The team is building out a Jacksonville presence and expects to pursue major design-build work in the region. A strong performer could transition into that growing operation and become a key member of the expanding team.
