Superintendent

A self-performing heavy highway contractor is hiring a Superintendent to lead a major freeway expansion project in El Paso, TX. This is a permanent, long-term role with a company that has steady work ahead, not a one-job assignment. If you have solid horizontal construction experience and want to plant roots in the Southwest, this is worth a conversation.

What You Will Run

You will serve as superintendent on a freeway expansion project currently in its final 8 to 9 months. The remaining scope includes north and south tie-ins to existing roadway, excavation, embankment work, subgrade preparation, and asphalt paving. You will work alongside an Assistant Superintendent and Project Engineers, report to a Project Manager, and use company-provided technology for scheduling, documentation, and daily coordination.

What It Takes

• Proven experience in heavy highway or heavy civil construction, horizontal work only
• DOT experience preferred; municipal or county highway and roadway experience also acceptable
• Broader civil experience welcome, such as grading, paving, earthwork, or roadways on large commercial sites
• No vertical construction backgrounds (building, K-12, high-rise, commercial)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
• Bonus skills: Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Job
• Genuine commitment to relocating to El Paso and staying long-term. We are not looking for someone parking an RV short-term
• Open to candidates from Texas, surrounding states, or California if seriously interested in the Southwest

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $100,000 to $125,000
• Choice of company truck or vehicle allowance of approximately $650 per month
