Civil Estimator – Atlanta, Georgia
A self-performing contractor in the Atlanta area is investing in their estimating department and looking for a Civil Estimator to join their team. This is a newly created role at a growing, family-owned business that handles land development, grading, utilities, and residential construction. If you know heavy civil takeoffs and can work with AgTek or HCSS software, this is a direct conversation.
What You Will Run
- Prepare estimates and proposals for land development projects, including grading, site work, utilities, and transportation elements
- Review plans and specifications to develop accurate bid packages
- Work with AgTek, HCSS, or similar estimating software to manage takeoffs and cost analysis
- Collaborate with project managers and operations to refine estimates and track accuracy
- Support the sales and project teams with timely, competitive proposals
What It Takes
- 2+ years of heavy civil or land development estimating experience
- Proficiency with AgTek, HCSS, or equivalent estimating software
- Solid understanding of grading, site work, utilities, and civil construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Comfortable working in the office most days, with occasional remote flexibility
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple estimates at once

Comp and Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and software proficiency
