Safety Manager
A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring a Safety Manager to lead safety culture across multiple job sites in Texas. This is a hands-on role that splits time between the office and the field, reporting directly into daily operations. You’ll own trench safety, fall protection, rigging, and multi-trade hazard management on active construction projects.
What you will run
- Daily safety oversight on heavy civil job sites, including excavation, trenching, and rigging operations
- Morning safety meetings and pre-job planning with crews
- Field inspections, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-up
- Safety compliance documentation and OSHA reporting
- Training and mentoring of field teams on fall protection, confined space, and equipment safety
- Work with a bilingual workforce; Spanish fluency is a strong asset
What it takes
- Active OSHA certification or equivalent safety credential (required)
- Proven experience in heavy civil construction safety, particularly trenching, falls, and rigging
- Comfort working with large, multi-trade crews and complex job sites
- Ability to move between office and field daily
- Bilingual capability in English and Spanish preferred
- Valid driver’s license; company truck provided
Compensation and benefits
$100,000 to $120,000 per year. Company truck provided.
