A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Coordinator to join their Texas operations. This is a hands-on coordination role where you will own schedule management, stakeholder communication, and timeline accountability on active construction projects. What you will run
- Serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, clients, and external stakeholders. You will own communication flow and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Support project managers by developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules. You will use tools like Procore or Primavera P6 to keep timelines current and accurate.
- Monitor critical project milestones and flag potential delays or issues before they become problems. Early visibility is your job.
- Plan for weather-related impacts and other unforeseen delays that may affect project timelines. You will help the team stay ahead of disruptions.
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction will be considered.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in heavy civil construction or project coordination.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will be the glue between teams.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices in heavy civil construction.
Compensation and benefits
$90,000 to $105,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
