Fine Grade Foreman
A self-performing contractor in North Carolina is hiring a Fine Grade Foreman to lead motor grader operations on a steady stream of residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time, permanent role with clear upside into a supervisory track. If you can run a motor grader, manage a small crew, and take ownership of fine grading from start to finish, this is a solid opportunity to build something.
What you will run
- Lead a crew of 4 operators on motor grader work, including training and development
- Execute fine grading on residential projects (primary volume) and occasional commercial work
- Operate or oversee GPS and Topcon equipment for grading and stake setting
- Manage curb and gutter work and coordinate with blueprints and site specifications
- Work directly with the General Superintendent and Grade Superintendent on process, procedures, and quality
- Potential to advance into a supervisory or superintendent role as the company grows
What it takes
- Hands-on experience running a motor grader
- Ability to read blueprints and work with GPS/Topcon systems
- Comfort leading and training a small crew
- Reliability and a willingness to own the fine grade operation end-to-end
- Availability to interview in person (one round)
Why this matters
Our client has significant motor grader work in the pipeline and needs a dedicated, full-time fine grade leader. This isn’t a temporary fill. They invest in their people, train from within, and promote from the field. If you’re looking for steady work, a crew to build, and a path forward, this is the kind of role that sticks.
Compensation
$85,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
