Survey Party Chief
A self-performing contractor in the Atlanta metro area is hiring a Survey Party Chief to lead staking and survey operations across a robust pipeline of heavy civil and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with solid field experience and the technical chops to run modern survey equipment on high-value work.
What you will run
- DOT staking using Trimble and Leica software platforms
- Robotic total stations and GPS equipment on active job sites
- Survey crew coordination and field operations within a 60-mile radius of metro Atlanta
- Quality control on staking and survey deliverables for multiple concurrent projects
What it takes
- 3 to 5 years of survey or staking field experience
- Proficiency with robotic total stations and GPS survey equipment
- Hands-on knowledge of Trimble and Leica software
- Ability to read plans, understand site conditions, and execute staking layouts accurately
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- No prior crew management experience required; we will train the right field technician into this role
- CAD skills are not required
