A self-performing contractor is building out its Asheville office and needs a Civil Design Engineer who wants startup energy backed by real resources and stability. This is your chance to shape a growing team while working on meaningful land development projects across North Carolina.
What You Will Run
- Lead site layout, grading, and earthwork calculations from concept through construction documents.
- Design utility systems and stormwater management plans that meet code and client needs.
- Produce high-quality construction drawings and engineering documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Partner with the Asheville office lead and the larger regional team to move projects through permitting and into the field.
What It Takes
- 2 to 10 years of professional experience in land development or civil engineering.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with proven expertise in grading and utility design.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Licensed EIT or PE, or actively pursuing licensure.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $75,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience.
- Straight time pay for all hours over 40 per week, meaning real extra earning potential without the salaried ceiling.
- Hybrid work available after a 90-day onboarding period, typically 2 days remote.
